What is Pilates? 

Pilates is a system of physical and mental conditioning that uses resistance rather than impact to strengthen and stretch the entire body, as well as to calm and focus the mind. Emphasis is on quality of movement rather than quantity of reps or weight lifted. Pilates is often associated with abdominal work because each of the hundreds of exercises is initiated and flows outward from a strong center or core. However, the vast Pilates repertoire is full body conditioning that is appropriate and beneficial for people of all ages and fitness levels. By working the body evenly, focusing on alignment and precision, muscles are developed uniformly, which helps to correct imbalances, improve posture and prevent injury. Consistent Pilates practice results in longer, leaner muscles, strong, stable joints, reduced stress, increased endurance, circulation, flexibility and much more.

Studio Policy

  • Cancellations require 24-hour notification or you will be charged

  • All sessions and group class begin on time and are based on a professional hour (50-55 minutes)

  • All sessions and group class purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable once
    they commence

  • All series, group classes and combo series are to be completed within 5 months from date of purchase

 

 

Studio Etiquette

  • Please arrive on time

  • Please turn all cell phones OFF upon arrival to
    the studio

  • Please do NOT chew gum during your session

  • Please be courteous of classes already in progress upon entering the space

  • Please be sure to wipe down all equipment
    after use

  • Please wear toe socks or be in bare feet during classes or sessions
